from mother to queen

from mother to queen,

she rises to the occasion with love and gratitude.

rising to her throne, she adjusts her crown of sage woven with sweetgrass and wild flowers.

she finds happiness in the simplest things.

porridge made on a fire.

tea from the finest tea shops of the world,

she is draped in silken fabrics found on travels to faraway cities.

her children clothed in silken fabrics understand it his her hands that made them into clothing.

from mother to queen,

she rises to the occasion with love and gratitude.

rising to her throne, she adjusts her crown of sage woven with sweetgrass and wild flowers.

she finds happiness in both the light and dark.

light of the moon.

light of the sun.

in the dark, she falls in love with stars across the sky.

from mother to queen,

she rises to the occasion with love and gratitude.

rising to her throne, she adjusts her crown of sage woven with sweetgrass and wild flowers.

she is guided by the ancients.
